UFC 148, the Ultimate Fighting Championship decided to hold a second pre-fight press conference to draw more hype for the much-awaited grudge match in the sport’s history between UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva (31W-4L) (14 wins in the UFC with 9 successful title defenses) and number one contender Chael Sonnen (27W-11L-1D) (6 wins and 4 losses in the UFC).
Come to think of it, there was never really a first and official pre-fight press conference for this event that involved all (finalized) participants for this card. With all the rampant switches due to the plaguing injuries that surrounded the fight organization, multiple fighters and matches were bounced around, just like this anticipated event which was originally slated for UFC 147 in Brazil.
